Integrative clinic · Cairns & Australia-wide

Home of alternative and emerging medicines

Time to tell the whole story, and a team that keeps the thread. In Cairns, or Australia-wide by telehealth.

Free, 10–15 minutes by phone, for anyone new to Sohma. It helps you choose an appointment; it isn’t a clinical assessment.

A note from Cam

What makes us uncommon is that we do the obvious.

People need time. Bodies are connected. Your life is part of the clinical picture. None of this is news, and somehow it has become rare, so we built a clinic around it. First appointments run 30 to 90 minutes, so there’s time for the whole story. The team works from one record, so your story travels with you. And there’s a room upstairs for when you’re ready to practise. We’re here for the pain that keeps you up, the stress that found its way into the body, the sleep that never came back. If you’ve been managed instead of met, start here.

Fees in AUD. Medicare rebates may apply; reception can confirm the expected rebate and out-of-pocket cost by phone or in person. Cameron’s consultations do not attract a Medicare rebate. Additional tests, medicines and services are discussed and priced separately. A consultation does not guarantee a particular treatment or acceptance of a transfer of care. Existing care-plan follow-ups are $89, or $149 for an extended follow-up.

What people bring to us

Bring the long story.

You’ve probably read more about your health than anyone has had time to ask you about. The articles, the podcasts, the results in your camera roll. Information is everywhere. Orientation is harder to find: where you are, what matters first, what to do next. Pain changes how you sleep. Sleep changes your mood. Stress shows up in the gut. If you can see you’re stuck but can’t yet see a way through, bring all of it. People have always found their bearings in each other. That’s what the house is for.

Six places people often start. The human condition is wider than any list, so if yours isn’t here, it’s still welcome here.

A note on treatment. What’s right for you is decided with you in a consultation, so we don’t publish a treatment list. Some people come for integrative medicine, some for alternative medicine, and some want both. Either way, the plan is shaped with your practitioner after a proper assessment. Not sure where to start? From patient to villager

The goal is that you stop needing us.

Then we hope you stay. A village needs places where people can return, take part and become known over time. We hold you until you can hold yourself, and between visits the house stays in touch. The house remembers.

Care that shouldn’t be rare

  • Enough time to tell the story.
  • Being believed.
  • Someone calling you back.
  • A place that remembers your name.

Health can be complex. Accessing care shouldn’t be.

The first step is a consultation. We’ll take it from there.

Come in with the week you have actually had. Face to face in Cairns, or Australia-wide by telehealth, and no referral needed. Not sure which appointment? Book the free nurse call and we’ll help you choose.
